Douglas County sits in southwest Oregon with a small portion of it along the Pacific Coast on the west. Lining a large section in the east of the county is the Umpqua National Forest. In between, you’ll find several beautiful cities and communities, one of which is the county seat of Roseburg. Known as “the Timber Capital of the Nation,” Roseburg sits in the Umpqua River Valley, developed on both sides of the South Umpqua River. The lumber industry is significant here, with Roseburg Forest Products contributing heavily to the local economy.
